Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at rarce@h2hpie.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Homeschooling is when your child’s education is based at home with you as their parents guiding them, rather than through enrollment in a traditional public or private school. Some families opt to do a modified homeschool through a public charter school but this is not required.

Teaching your child at home can be widely flexible and you, as their teacher, are able to be empowered to teach them in ways that truly work. You as a parent and a teacher do not need to follow the convention of school, however, you can customize and choose the way they learn. This will help optimize your child's learning.

There is more than one answer to this question because you have multiple options. During a consultation, we can help identify the best route for you. However, if you like your charter, our program is designed to support that so no move is necessary. Either way, our education specialists can help you make the right choice for your family and if a move is what you need, we can help make that seamless.

Many parents worry about exploring learning at home (homeschool) for the 1st time for many reasons. Some worry that their child will not be able to function in the “real world” if they don’t attend public school and have the same social experiences as other traditionally schooled children. But here are a few things to consider:

  • What do public schools really do?  They separate children by age, ability, and limits. Children are forced to only socialize with other peers their same age and only for brief periods during the day. Schooled children have been put in a classroom for 6-7 hours a day, allowed only to view the outside through the pages of a textbook. Competition, teasing, and bullying are often the social values learned at school.   The bottom line: Homeschoolers already live in the real world.
  •  The amount of time a homeschooler spends in the real world shows because they are able to communicate well, get along with Adults as well as children. They are more likely to base their decisions on values that they have learned from you as parents, rather than being compelled to follow along with a crowd of peers. And because they were not at a desk for 6-7 hours every day, they can participate in a variety of activities such as music, sports, cooking, and art.

You have multiple options, a popular one is to fill out a Private School Affidavit or PSA and we can help you do this. We encourage you to reach out first so we can help you understand your options before jumping in.

This all depends on how your child learns best. Each of us, children and adults alike, learn so differently. Do you know how your child learns best? We can help you identify this as well. But it is equally important to identify how you learn best so you are better equipped to help them. We will help you identify whether your child learns best through Kinesthetic, Visual, Auditory, or Verbal means. For more information on what these are, take a look at the tab, “Our program At-A-Glance” or take the quiz on the “Resources” tab. Either way,  we can do what works best for your child and adapt the curriculum to help them learn in a more effective way.

Head2Heart Partners in Education has a lot to offer and best of all, we are a registered California non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization with a focus on providing support to homeschoolers of all backgrounds and means.   We provide (2) K-12 enrichment options (In-person and Virtual), (1) curriculum with tutoring option, and multiple 2-day summer camp sessions.

A PSP (Private School Satellite Program) is an alternative to filing your own PSA (Private School Affidavit). People choose PSP's when they rather not provide their personal information for public knowledge through the PSA application. So what is a PSP exactly? It is a private school that has filed an affidavit that allows you as the homeschool parent to join as a "teacher" (of your own children). Your personal information is never shared publically but is required to be on file at the Private School. The administrator will remind you to turn in the required attendance records and samples for your child's portfolio monthly. Some PSPs offer more than just administrative options such as curriculum packages, newsletters, meetups/field trips, and even enrichment classes.
